Pastor Jim Clayton has always lived an extraordinary life. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1964. He was sent to Vietnam in 1965 and was assigned to the 1st Air Calvary, 2nd Battalion, 7th Calvary. In October of 1966, he married his wife Stella and raised three children with her, and now is a proud grandparent of 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Before Pastor Jim became a Pastor, he was a Police Officer for the City of Woodland in California. He worked as a patrol officer for 7 years and later served in the Detective Division for the next 8 years, in those 8 years he worked Narcotics and vice.
In 1988, God called Pastor Jim to the ministry. After he completed his ministry studies at Woodland New Testament Church, he established a food mission in Woodland, California. In 1991, Pastors Jim & Stella Clayton were sent to Sacramento to take over a church facing closure and renamed it Faith Christian Fellowship. When they took over the church, they had one condition, and that is still practiced today, in which they would have the freedom to move in the Holy Spirit, that the church would be a Faith preaching ,Word of God believing, faith Healing in JESUS name, Pentecostal Christian Church and create a church that has a Family friendly atmosphere.
Over the years, Pastors Jim and Stella knew God was restoring His church, and bringing back the truth of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified, after following Jimmy Swaggart and his teaching of the Cross of Christ. They believe that pastor's need to preach the Cross of Christ, what He did for us at the Cross of Calvary, which is where our Victory is. Soon after this, they began to witness God's power move like never before. People were being healed, delivered, saved, touched, and changed by Jesus forever. This has been one of the greatest joys they have witnessed while in the ministry. It is also the reason why they still continue to reach out to the Sacramento Valley and to those around the world looking for the truth about Jesus.
